Warranty Policy – Trailer Deals

At Trailer Deals, we stand by the quality and durability of our products. This Warranty Policy outlines your rights and our obligations when you purchase any trailer, shipping container, or related product through Trailer Deals.

1. Warranty Coverage

We offer a standard 12-month limited warranty on all eligible products from the date of delivery. This warranty covers:

  • Manufacturing defects

  • Structural faults

  • Welding failures

  • Material quality issues that affect the intended function of the product

2. Products Covered Under Warranty

  • Shipping Containers (Standard Dry, High Cube, Open Top, Refrigerated, etc.)

  • Container Conversions (Mobile Homes, Site Offices, etc.)

  • Container Chassis & Trailer Units

  • Special Containers (Flat Rack, Double Door, Open Side, etc.)

Note: Used or refurbished units may have limited or different warranty terms, as communicated at the time of sale.

3. What Is Not Covered

This warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by misuse, abuse, or accidents

  • Normal wear and tear (e.g., rust, paint fading, minor dents)

  • Unauthorized repairs or modifications

  • Environmental or weather-related damage after delivery

  • Cosmetic damage that does not affect performance

4. Warranty Claims Procedure

To lodge a warranty claim:

  2. Provide your Order Number, Product Details, and Description of the Fault

  3. Submit photos or videos showing the issue clearly

  4. Our team will respond within 3–5 business days

If your claim is approved, we will either:

  • Repair the defect (on-site or at our facility), or

  • Replace the faulty component or product (subject to availability), or

  • Provide an equivalent value credit or partial refund (case-specific)

5. Return or Inspection

In some cases, we may request that the item be returned for inspection. If the fault is confirmed to be covered by warranty, all return shipping and repair costs will be covered by us. If not, the customer may be responsible for logistics costs.

6. Exclusions for Custom Orders

Customised or modified units are only eligible for structural warranty coverage. Interior installations, custom paintwork, or added accessories may carry separate warranties from third-party suppliers.

7. Legal Rights

This warranty policy does not affect your rights under the Consumer Protection Act of South Africa (CPA). Customers are entitled to remedies if goods fail to meet acceptable quality standards under South African law.
